Coach Development Programs

The Brisbane North Cougars is fortunate to have two High Performance coaches working with our State League teams – Elizabeth White OAM, and Patti Farrell. Association coaches are invited to attend all team training sessions at Cubs and Cats program. During these sessions, coaches will have time to question and interact with our coaches.

In season 2019, our five affiliated associations will also have the opportunity of nominating two coaches to attend the training sessions for the Sapphire and Ruby Teams. The coaches will observe the skills delivered by Liz and Patti and have the opportunity to closely observe these coaches from the bench during their competition.

Some feedback from the coaching program:

“Liz was extremely generous with her time and availability for questions and mentoring. She is incredible with her knowledge and very down to earth in her approach to coaching. I feel that I could spend a year at her side and still not feel that I have learnt enough! Thank you and I hope many other coaches jump on board and take advantage of this.”

“Thank you Liz for engaging with me and letting me be amongst it for the last few weeks. I have learnt so much in that short time, and felt it so beneficial as a coach.”
