Kedron-Wavell Cougars is Netball Queensland’s largest and most successful netball region. With the support of
four netball associations, Cougars provides extensive opportunities for the development of young players, coaches, umpires and officials.
Aimed at 10 to 14 year old netballers from club and representative teams, the Cubs
program improves skills, fitness and netball awareness, while building connections
with like-minded players. Kedron-Wavell Cougars coaches and players will lead
rotating sessions while providing valuable instruction, insight, strategy and advice.
Specialist clinics provide players with an opportunity to receive targeted feedback in
relation to technical and tactical skills for the chosen playing area – shooting, centre
court and defence. These clinics are aimed at 14 to 20 year old rep players who
are striving for GBNL, Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire teams. Each session is unique
and tailored to a small group. With three of Queensland’s most successful high
performance coaches, Kedron-Wavell Cougars is the best environment to receive
targeted coaching.
This is a fun, social and active program which gives participants, of all abilities, a
positive introduction to netball and teaches them the basic skills. The program also
provides techniques, tips and tricks for young aspiring netballers. Most importantly,
it’s heaps of fun and a great way to meet new friends. The 90 minute clinic is aimed
at 8 to 10 year old, girls and boys.
